LAID TO REST
The angel of death is nearly always an unwelcome guest, but there
was a case in Cincinnati a few days ago where a man, paralyzed in every part of
his body, was perfectly conscious and waited gladly for death. The man was Dan M
Jones, who for many years was a pressman at the Russell & Morgan establishment.
He had been practically dead for the past four years. Locomotor ataxia was the
cause of his suffering.
He was a prominent Odd Fellow and member of Noah's Dove Lodge of Newport. The remains were taken to their last resting place in Evergreen Cemetery Tuesday. Charles Tucker, Ben Bowman, Gus Anderson, William Schulenberg, Otto Breith and Louis Norris were the pallbearers.
