Coy Liles, son of Mrs. Elwood Liles, 820 Columbia street,
Newport, was discharged Dec 6 from Nichols General Hospital, Louisville.
Attached to the Medical Detachment, 16th Infantry, First Division, he was
awarded the Bronze Star for giving aid and evacuating wounded soldiers in
exposed terrain.
He also has the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, ETO Ribbon with five campaign starts and the Purple Heart with clusters.
