Alexandria Court Order Book 2, Page 60, 25 May 1818
On Motion of Covington Nelson It is ordered that a
license be granted him to keep a Tavern at his house in this County in the
Town of Covington for one year Whereupon the said Covington Nelson with Bartlet Graves his security entered into and acknowledged bond according to
law.

Indenture made 10 September 1819 between
Covington Nelson
and Thirza his wife of the state of Kentucky and Campbell County of the one
part and Dudley B Ellis of the County aforesaid of the other part.
Covington and Thirza in consideration of the sum of $500 sell a certain tract
of land lying in the County of Campbell containing 225 acres beginning at a
Buckey Sugartree and Hickory on Wells Creek in the line of James Douglas at
Richard C Webbs corner. Being part of a certain tract of Land entered
and patented to Richard C Webb Beginning at the North corner of Jas. Douglas'
survey of one thousand acres in Roberts line...in Wm Kennedys line.

On the motion of Covington Nelson, it is
ordered that James G Lindsey, Elijah Herndon and George West be appointed
Commissioners to settle with him as the executors of John Nelson, deceased, and
that they do also divide all the undivided lands of said deceased among his
heirs and legal representatives.

Indenture made 4 April 1832 between Covington Nelson and Theresey his wife of the County of Campbell of the 1st part and Elijah Herndon
of the said County of the 2nd part. Covington for $250 sells all that
certain tract of land situated in the County of Campbell on 12 Mile or Wells
Creek being part of 1037 1/2 acres entered, surveyed and patented in the name
of Richard C Webb, containing 130 acres.

Robert Young and patented to his heirs; containing 178 acres.
