Page 17-At a court held for the County of Campbell on Monday the 2nd day of
November 1795 at the House of Jacob Fowler in the Town of Newport
Present Gentlemen:
Robert Benham
Thomas Kennedy
John Bush
Ordered that James Little, John Arnold and Archabald H Reed or any one of them with said Little are appointed Commissioners to perpetuate testimony to establish an entry of 1616 acres in the name of Robert Sanders beginning near Campbells Station on the Dry ridge.
Same persons or any one of them with said Little are appointed as aforesaid to attend near the same place on an entry in the name of' John Craig and Robert Johnson for 50,000 Acres.
Same person or any one of them with said Little are appointed as aforesaid to attend at the beginning of an entry in the name of Howel Lewis for Three thousand five hundred acres near Reeds Tavern. Beginning at a Red Oak tree marked on the War road leading from the forks of Licking to Dry Creek.
Ordered that Thomas Lindsey, Jacob Mills, Ellison Williams and Benja. Springer or any 3 being first sworn do mark out the nearest and best way from the widow Perrys ferry on the Ohio River to intersect the Grassy Creek road, from thence to the salt Works on the waters of Banklick and from thence to intersect the George Town road and make report to Court.
Archabald H Reed is Licenced to keep a Tavern at his House on the dry ridge for one year he having entered into Bond with security according to Law.
Thomas Rees is permited to keep a Tavern at his House for one year he having entered into Bond with Security according to Law.
On Motion of J. P. Smith it is Ordered to be Certified that he applied for a Licence for James McClelland to keep a Tavern in this County, which was rejected owing to said McClellands not being present to enter into Bond according to Law.
The following rates are established for Tavern of this County Viz:
Breakfast and Supper each 1S, 6D
Dinner 2S, 0D
Lodging p night 6D
Stableage & Hay p night 2S
pasturage p night 9D
Corn & Oats p quart 3D
Rum or Brandy p Half pint 2S 6D
whiskey p Half pint 9D
Page 19-Ordered that Jacob Barrickman, Nathan Kelly & Jacob Mills being first sworn do view & markout the nearest & best way from Newport to the Widow Perrys on the Ohio and make report to Court of the Conveniences and inconveniences of said road to Court.
Ordered that John Ewing, Mathew Glaves, Alexr. McClain and Samuel Cook or any three of them being first Sworn do view & mark out the nearest and best way from the ford on Crooked Creek to where it will strik(e) the first waters of Grassy Creek on a Direction to the ford on Raven (?) Creel. and Make report to Court of the Convenience & inconvenience of said road to Court.
Ordered that Mattheas Corwin, Joseph Boyd, John Ducker, (blank) Thrasher Senr. or anv three of them being first sworn do View & Markout the nearest and best way from Roberts's ferry on Licking to intersect the road to be Veiwed (sic) by John Ewing &c on the first waters of Grassy Creek, and make report to Court of the Conveniences & inconveniences of said Road.
Ordered that Henry Brasher be appointed Overseer of the Road from Newport to Thomas Lindsays in the room of Robert Benham esqr.
Ordered that James Johnson be appointed overseer of the road from said Lindseys to the Widow Stephenses.

It appearing to the Court that Robert Benham esq was impproperly (sic) charged two white Tithes for the year 1795. Ordered that he be exemped from the same.
Absent John Roberts Gent.
It appearing to the Court that Jacob Fowler is improperly charged with a Tavern Licence for the present year Ordered that the same be certified.
Henry Pickell is licensed to keep a Tavern for one year who thereupon acknowleged his Bond with Security according to Law.
Nathan Kelly, Sheriff of this County entered into Bond with Washington Berry esqr his Security in the penalty of One thousand pounds according to Law for the due and faithful Collection of all Taxes fines &c during his continuance in office
The laying of the Levy of this County is put off until December Court and it is ordered that the Sheriff give notice accordingly.
