Miss Seavers, a primary teacher, was allowed a leave of absence for an indefinite period on account of ill health and Miss Cora Holbrook was appointed to the vacancy.
The proposition to introduce new United State histories in the schools failed. It was resolved to enforce rule 52 of the board in reference to the vaccination of pupils. Opening of schools deferred to Sept. 18.
