NEWPORT
Conrad Ulmer, 70, father of School Trustee Herman Ulmer, who
lived at 38 East Ninth street, dropped dead yesterday afternoon at the corner of
Ninth and John streets. He had been to the drugstore for some medicine and
returning, stopped a few minutes to chat with a friend.
Coroner Higgins was notified and held an inquest deciding that death was due to apoplexy. Wm Ulmer, the plumber is another son of the deceased. Mrs. Scherf, of Clifton Heights, is a daughter. Mr. Ulmer had been a resident of Newport for 35 years.
