Miss Clara R Dunkhorst, retired Newport school teacher, died late Thursday at the Bethesda Home for the Aged, Cincinnati. She was 82. A native of Cincinnati, she moved to Newport in 1873. Graduating from Newport High School, she was an elementary teacher in the Newport schools until her retirement 30 years ago.
She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Newport, where she was instructor for the Women's Bible Class. The Charles A Smith & Sons funeral home, Newport is in charge of arrangements.
