Christian Martzolf, 86, of 140 Riverside drive, Ft Thomas, will be buried Thursday with services at 2 pm at the Fred A Erschell funeral home, 227 E Sixth st. Newport, Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Martzolf died Tuesday at his home following an illness of several days. He was widely known in Campbell co. having lived there for more than 50 years. He was born in Morris, Indiana.
He had been a member of the Newport police for about 15 years. He served throughout the Civil War with the 123rd Indiana Volunteers. Martzolf is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Samuel B Harton, 140 Riverside drive, Ft Thomas, with whom he lived and Mrs. Harry Mitchell, Pittsburgh Pa.
