RIVER INTELLIGENCE

We published yesterday a notice of the death of Captain Charles Beard at Jacksonport. We learn that his name was Charles Beers, and was a member of the Old Cincinnati and St Louis Pilot's Association in this city (Cincinnati). He left here some five years ago and has been piloting on, and commanding several steamers in the Southern Bayou trade since that time.

His wife and family resided in Newport, but moved back to Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh.
