CHARLES ZEIL
The funeral of Charles Zeil, 416 Lindsey St., Newport, a director of the Licking
Valley Savings & Loan Association, Newport, for 60 years, will be held at 8:30
a.m. Monday from the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport.
Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church,
Newport. Burial will be in St.
Joseph Cemetery, Johns Hill.
Mr. Zeil, who was 88 years old, died Thursday at Booth Hospital Covington. A
retired machinist, he worked for the Fletcher Washing Machine Co., Newport,
until two years ago. A native of
Germany, he came to America at the age of six and moved to Kentucky shortly
thereafter.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Corpus Christi Church; St Stephen
Court, Catholic Order of Foresters and Newport Aerie of Eagles.
Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Berte, Newport, two sons, Paul,
Newport, and Carl Zeil, Cincinnati; a daughter-in-law Mrs. Gertrude Zeil,
Newport, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
