Captain Charles B Woodbury

Captain Charles Woodbury, 62, a native of Dayton Ky. and well known in Cincinnati river circles, is dead at Newport, Ark. according to a dispatch. He ran the rivers for nearly 50 years in various lines of work.
Page 5-B H (sic) Woodbury, well known in Newport, a resident here for many years, died at Batesville Ark. Monday. His brother Charles of Newport received a telegram to that effect Monday night. He was engaged in the steamboat business in Arkansas.

The remains of C H Woodbury whose death occurred at Arkansas, will be received in Newport by Director C A Smith and will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery at 10 am Wednesday. The services will be held at the chapel there. The pallbearers will be E J Smith, Capt. W O B Stricker, Capt. Charles Barnes and Capt. Peter McArthur.
Page 7-Remains of Captain Charles Woodbury will be brought to Newport Ky. for interment.

Through a misunderstanding announcement was made yesterday of the death at Batesville Ark. of B H Woodbury, when it should have been Captain Charles B Woodbury. The former is engaged in business her, in the manufacture of mineral water.
The remains of Captain Charles Woodbury will be received here this evening by Funeral Director C A Smith and the funeral will take place at 10 am tomorrow, with services at the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be E J Smith, Captain W O B Stricker, Captain Charles Barnes and Captain Peter McArthur. All of these are river men, in which business the deceased had been engaged all his life. Rev Dr. C M Thompson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
