A Rademacher
Charles A Rademacher was born 8 Mar 1843 in Cincinnati, the son of Benedict & Louisa. He enlisted in the Union Army from Cincinnati in a Band for the 10th Regiment Ohio Infantry. He married Mary Reitz 23 Apr 1865 in Newport. He died 11 Nov 1890 in Newport and was buried in St Stephen Cemetery in Ft Thomas. The headstone for him was ordered and delivered to Newport 5 Sep 1891.

At a meeting of Nelson's Post GAR, Newport, last night the following officers were elected: Commander, Charles Raddemacher; Vice Commander H C Breith; Adjutant, L W Hawthorne; Chaplain, Robert Hewitson; Surgeon Charles Welsh; Quartermaster, William Steinheim; Guard, Frank Richards.

Nelson Post, Newport, has appointed their Commander Charles Rademacher, Major Lee Hawthorne and Captain John Link a Committee on Procuring an Orator for the Eulogy. The Committee on Flowers and the General Committee are evenly divided between the balance of the members. All are working for Decoration Day. The Post have received four tremendous columbiums from the War Department and will have them placed before the decoration of the graves takes place.
