Charles Driver-SalesmanCharles (Butch) Ponchot, 48 of 57 16th. street, Newport, died at 4 a.m. Sundayin St. Luke Hospital where he had been admitted Saturday. He was a driver-salesman for Coca- Cola, incinnati, and had been active in amateur baseball. Mr. Ponchot was pitcher for both the Knoblochs and Shields Realty.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Ponchot; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Fillhardt and Miss Sandra Ponchot, both of Newport, and Mrs. Sharon Blasavage, Flint, Mich. His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Ponchot, Newport: a sister, Mrs. Betty Cook, Dayton, O.; two brothers, Alfred and Fred Ponchot, both of Newport. Services, 11a.m. Wednesday Muehlenkamp-Erschell, Newport. Visitation, 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
