HEART FAILURE
Charles Pickering, 42, who resided with his mother at 733 Central
av. Newport, was found dead yesterday by his mother. Pickering who was an
ironworker, had been in ill health for several weeks. Yesterday his mother went
to his room and found him, as she thought, asleep in a chair. She tried to
arouse him, but was horrified to find that her son was cold in death.
Assistance was summoned, but it was not needed. The physician called stated that Pickering had been dead for some time before his mother had tried to awaken him. The deceased was a member of the Sons of German Pioneers and that organization, together with the members of the German Pioneers will attend the funeral at the home tomorrow afternoon.
