Charles W Noyes, 1038 Orchard street, Newport, a retired Green Line motorman, died Friday at his home. He was 70. Mr. Noyes retired 15 years ago. He was a member of the Amalgamated Association of Streetcar, Electric Railway and Motor Coach Employees.
A veteran of the Indian Wars, Mr. Noyes served seven years with both the infantry at St Joseph Mo. He was a lifelong resident of Newport and a member of the First Baptist Church, Newport. He leaves a son, Charles Noyes, Erlanger; three daughtes, Mrs. Velma Rosine, Cincinnati and Mrs. Robert Quayle and Mrs. Charles Morgan both of Newport; a brother, Harry Noyes, Brooklyn NY; a sister, Mrs. Grace DeCamp, Fiftysix, Ark. and nine grandchildren.
