NEWPORT

 

Charles Noonan, one of Newport's oldest citizens, died yesterday at his home, 715 Columbia street.  He was acknowledged to be about the best stone mason in this part of the country and in partnership with Mr. Charles Limerick, designer and built St Paul's Episcopal Church, which is said to be the finest piece of stone masonry in the Western county.

He was appointed Sewer Inspector by Engineer Bruce Morton, in which contracted an illness resulting in his death.  He was about 60 years of age and leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss.
