NEWPORT
The funeral of Charles Mengher, which was announced in
yesterday's issue as taking place yesterday morning did not occur as stated.
The little unfavorable comment to The Enquirer brought Mr. Budde, his employer to his senses, and he now agrees to bear all the funeral expenses and give the unfortunate lad a respectable burial. The funeral will therefore take place this morning at the Corpus Christi Church. The arrangements as first made were for the city to bury him.
