Requiem high mass will be intoned Friday at 9 am at Corpus Christi Church, Newport, for Charles Meiner, 82, of 517 W Seventh st. Newport. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery. Meiner died late Tuesday at his home following a lingering illness. He was a veteran of the Civil War and had been a resident of Newport many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meyer and Mrs. Mayme Knickabocker and three sons, Joseph, Jake and Frank. John J Radel Co. Newport undertakers are in charge of the funeral.
