NEWPORT
CHARLES KUGLER, a baker at the Barracks was arrested for stabbing
a soldier last night by Marshal Rebholtz. The cause of the quarrel or who was
cut could not be ascertained last night. The deed was done was a brass handled
knife with a vicious looking blade, broken off at an inch length and covered
with blood.
