DEATH
Ex-Officer Charles "Ketch" Hallam, of Newport, died yesterday at
St Elizabeth Hospital, in this city after along illness of consumption. He ws 22
years of age and leaves a wife. He was the son of the late Judge J R Hallam, of
Newport and a brother of ex-Circuit Court Clerk Henry Hallam, now of Washington
City, and Theodore Hallam, the prominent attorney of this city.
The deceased was widely known in Campbell County and leaves a large circle of friends, who will deeply mourn his death. His remains will be buried alongside of his brother, the late Judge Robert Hallam in Spring Grove Cemetery.
