Funeral services for Charles E Harris, member of a well known northern Kentucky family, who died in Jacksonville, Fla. Thursday will be held at the A C Dobbling and Son funeral home, Ft Thomas, at 2 pm Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Harris, who was 65, was a native of Dayton, having lived there before moving to Cincinnati 15 years ago. He went to Florida two years ago and was a foreman at the Merrill Stevens Shipyards, Jacksonville.

One of his sons, Albert M Harris, Newport, is general superintendent of the Littleford Bros. sheet and plate steel works, Cincinnati, where Mr. Harris served as general foreman for 35 years. Another son, Sergt. James E Harris Jr. is with the Army in North Africa. His first wife, the former Miss Mamie M Myer, died several years ago. Mr. Harris was a Spanish American War veteran and a member of the Capt. A M Wetherill Camp, United Spanish War Veterans, Newport.  He served as noble grand of the Dayton Lodge of Odd Fellows before the lodge was incorporated with the Bellevue Lodge several years ago.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Gladys Harris, Cincinnati; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Fichter, Deer Park O. Mrs. Mabel McNamara, Butler Pa. Mrs. Henrietta Carter, Washington DC, and Miss Virginia Harris, Newport; one son, James R Harris, Cincinnati; one brother Albert R Harris, Ft Thomas; one sister, Mrs. Anna Middaugh, Tampa Fla. and 14 grandchildren.
