TAKEN HOME-Charles Blitz, father of ex-Mayor Edward Blitz of Newport, wandered from his home in his sleep early Tuesday morning in his night clothes. He is past 80 years old and walked two squares from his home. It is thought he fell while walking out, as he was found by Private Officer Ben Evans in an unconscious condition. There were several bruises about the body and a scalp wound caused by the fall.
His disappearance from home was discovered by Edward Blitz, son of the aged man and he called at Police Headquarters. The patrol took the wanderer to Police Headquarters and then to his home. Dr. Fishback stated he would be able to be about in a few days. It was some time before he regained consciousness. The family tried to keep the matter quiet.
