SISTER'S DEATH

Mrs. Carrie Steinhauser, 1030 York st. Newport, whose funeral took place this afternoon from the residence is said to have died of grief. She passed away Saturday and her relatives declare that she became ill about a month ago, when her brother, Frank Vogel, committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid. Vogel had brooded over the death of his wife, who took her life in a similar manner a few weeks before.

Vogel, as a dying request of his sister, asked that he be buried along side the body of his wife at Cold spring Cemetery. His wife killed herself at her former home in Indiana. Her body was brought to Cold spring by relatives and buried in order to carry out the wishes of her dead husband. Mrs. Steinhauser's interment was at Evergreen.
