Ordination of young men to the Catholic priesthood will be
completed this week as Bishop William T Mulloy, of Covington, administers the
Sacrament of Orders at 9:30 am Saturday in St Mary Cathedral, Covington.
Rev Carl Tillman, for St Frances de Sales Parish, Newport. Father Tillman is a veteran of World War II. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley W Tillman, 32 Wilson raod, Newport, he received the Purple Heart in the North African and Italian campaigns with the First Armored Division of the US Army. He attended St Vincent de Paul School, Newport; St Xavier High School and Xavier University in Cincinnati, with seminary studies at St Mary College, St Mary Ky. and the Catholic University of America Theological College, Washington DC.
He is a brother of the Rev Stanley C Tillman, S J and Mrs. Ralph W Rush.
