Eight members of the Northern Kentucky Naval Reserve were at home Tuesday after a 14 day training cruise aboard the USS Wisconsin, which took them through the Panama Canal. Lt. V C Page, commander of the Organized Surface Division 9-66, local reserve said the eight men who had taken the cruise as their part in the postwar training program set up by the Navy. He said members of the reserve were entitled to one such training cruise a year.
The eight men are: Carl V Bihl, seaman first class, Newport; Louis A Bartlett, baker third class, Newport; Robert W DeGrasse, seaman first class, Dayton; Richard L Hartman, seaman first class, Covington; John Hoffstetter, coxswain, Alexandria; Donald L Marksberry, seaman second class, Newport; Raymond A Sanders, quartermaster first class, Covington and Raymond Saner, seaman first class, Bellevue.
