Sergeant B D "Buddy" Brosz, son of Mrs. Lula M Bronz, 503 York street, Newport, was killed March 19, according to the War Department announcement. A gunner on a Fortress, he had been listed as missing since Dec 23, 1943, when on his 23rd mission over enemy territory, Sgt. Brosz, who was 27 and a former employee of the Newport Rolling mill, leaves besides his mother, a brother, Donald and a sister, Mrs. Armelda Babin, Newport.

Buddy was born in 1914 in Newport, the son of Edwin A Bronz and Lula M Steele. He was part of the 740th Bomber Squadron 455th Heavy Bomber Group. He was buried in the Sicily Romo American Cemetery in Nettuno Italy.
