The War Department gave official confirmation Thursday to previous announcements of the death of Tech Sergt. Billy Freeman, 23 year old son of Mrs. Ann Patterson, 615 Poplar street, Bellevue.
He died of wounds received in a bombing mission over Europe Nov 30. Sergt. Freeman was a radio gunner on a Flying Fortress. The fact that he was missing in action was announced before.
