WILLIAM A WINDGASSEN, 82, of California, died at 11:45pm Saturday at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler. He retired as a car man after 28 years with the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, Silver Grove, and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ruth Windgassen, daughters, Carol Dawson of Highland Heights, Eileen Utz of Butler and Lois Herrin of Los Gatos, Calif; a brother, John Windgassen of Alexandria; a sister, Hazel Fries of Alexandria and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be there from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Grants Lick Baptist Church or to St. Elizabeth Home Health Hospice.
