Mr. William Merris Fish was a farmer and the owner of a mercantile business in Falmouth, his farm was in the Grassy Creek area near Three Forks and near the Island. He owned 637 acres of land at his death and was divided between his children; Part of it being known as the Hutchinson Tract. It is not known by me where the graves of the Fish Family are located but it is known that in the estate settlement there was $60.00 paid for a grave stone to cover the grave as in the Administrator report. This was a large amount in those days of 1839 and believed to have purchased a large stone.

Nathaniel McClure was born February 4th 1774, in the State of Virginia, died in Boone County, Ky., January 18th 1848.
Jane Porter was born in the State of Virginia on the 17th day of September 1773 and was married to Nathaniel McClure 1796 in Lexington ,Virginia, died in Boone County, KY, January 19th, 1859.
William Merris Fish was born in the State of Rhode Island, June 21, 1775; died in Pendleton County, Ky., July 22, 1839.
Mary Keeler, was born in the State of
Massachusetts, January 19th, 1782; was married to William Merris Fish 1800, died
in Kenton County, KY July 18, 1850
