The newest business enterprise in Newport, the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, is now in full operation, according tothe Manager, Bert W Bennett. Mr. Bennett, a veteran of World War II, served in the Navy.
The new bottling plant, which will bottle and distribute Dr. Pepper in Northern Kentucky is located at 325 York Street. Mr. Bennett who was raised in the bottling business, says the plant is fully equipped with moeran bottling machinery and equipment.
"I like everything about it (Newport) and have moved my family here and established my residence here. Our reception has been most cordial. We selected Newport as a place to build a future with Dr. Pepper. Our impressions assure us we made a wise choice."
