Benjamin
Rubenstein
Kentucky Post, Friday, 3 November 1899, page 1
The description of the body found embedded in the sand at Riverside, published in Thursday's Post, was the means of identifying the body Friday. Louis Rubenstein of 335 Madison Street, Newport, read it and at once recognized the body as that of his son, Benjamin, who drowned last March.
Friday morning in company with his wife and daughter Bessie, he went to the Morgue, where the clothing and shoes were fully identified. The body will be taken to Newport for burial. Sunday, March 12, Ben Rubenstein went for a skiff ride on the river. When near the Suspension Bridge, the boat was capsized and young Rubenstein was drowned.
Mrs. Rubenstein said: "We saw the description of the body in the Post and at once that it must be Benny."
