Cincinnati Daily Gazette, Thursday, 3 November 1853, page 3
The Sun says that between three and four pm on
Sunday afternoon, a boy named Benjamin Druir fell from the new bridge at Newport
and fractured his skull. He was immediately removed to his home and medical aid
sent for, but it was of little avail, for the fall proved fatal. The poor fellow
died at a few minutes before five o'clock Sunday evening.
