I have considerable information about the Budde family, which resided on Rossford Ave. in Ft. Thomas for many years. This information begins with my great-grandparents Elizabeth (1860-1920) and Ben Budde Sr. (1859-1934) I have only very limited information about their ancestors who immigrated to Northern Kentucky from Germany and resided somewhere in Newport, KY., so I am looking for help in learning more about those ancestors. Many of the people below are deceased, including my father Othmar. I’ve interviewed most of the living and learned as much as possible from them.
Bernard Budde was born in Sep 1859 and died in 1934 and is buried in St Stephens Cemetery. He was the son of Louis Budde, born Dec 1820 in Hanover, Prussia who married Mary Anna, born Dec 1827 in Prussia in 1851. In the 1900 census, Mary Anna stated that she had nine children, but only four of them were living by then. Louis Budde immigrated to America in 1848.
Elizabeth Mary Budde was born 24 Oct 1860 in Cincinnati, the daughter of John Peter Budde and Mary Elizabeth. John Peter Budde was born 30 Aug 1826 in Germany and immigrated in 1850. He died 26 Nov 1904 in Newport and is buried in the St Stephens Cemetery. Mary Elizabeth was born 8 Sep 1826 in Germany and died 7 Jan 1897 in Newport and is buried in the St Stephens Cemetery.
