Newport Ky. Jan 11. No sadder funeral cortege was ever seen in Newport than the company of relatives and friends who left the home today of former Sheriff Jule Plummer. Two snowy white hearses were at the head of the cortege, one bearing the remains of his son, Frank Plummer, the other those of his little daughter, Auriel Belle.
The same pall bearers who carried the body of the son, also bore the little casket of pure white. The brother and sister were laid side by side in one large grave in Evergreen cemetery. The little girl died Saturday and the son Sunday night. The latter was engaged to be married.
