August Trinkle

Cincinnati Post, Monday, 7 August 1882, page 1

August Trinkle was arraigned before Judge Murphy this morning on a charge of failing to report a case of small pox in his family. He said he didn't know it was small pox and would most certainly have reported it had he known what the disease was.

The arresting officer testified Trinkle denied having any sickness in the house at all. The house is at 720 Central av. Newport. The affidavit was not drawn up correctly and Trinkle was let go. The affidavit will probably be rectified and he will be rearrested.
