Arthur Walter Pelle

Arthur Walter Pelle was born 29 Feb 1888 in Alexandria, the son of William Charles Pelle and Mary Fischer. He died 27 Nov 1975 in Alexandria and was buried in the St Joseph Cemetery in Camp Springs. He married Lillie Winona McHatton, daughter of James McHatton and Sarah Wadsworth. (1893-1966)

A wedding took place at St Stephen Church, Newport, Tuesday, when Miss Sarah Van Hoose, daughter of C W Van Hoose, became the bride of Lee Reekers, son of Mayor Fred Reekers. The bridesmaid was Miss Loretta Tory of Newport and the best man was Arthur Pelle of Silver Grove.

While riding his scooter Sunday in Silver Grove, Thomas E Donning, 5, was struck by an auto driven by Arthur Pelle, Camp Springs. Police learned Pelle was driving west on River rd. when the boy appeared on the roadway. Pelle swered his auto to the side of the road to avoid the child. The boy became frightened and darted directly into the path of the auto. Pelle's mother and sister were riding with him at the time of the accident.
