NEWPORT BRIEFS

Mrs. Ann Woodall died last evening at the residence of her grandson, Fred Fisher, 915 Park-av. aged 95 years.  The deceased was a pioneer resident of this city. A family of grown children survive her.

MRS. WOODALL BURIED


Mrs. Anne Woodall, one of the pioneer residents of Newport, whose death occurred Wednesday night at the home of her grandson, Fred Fisher, 915 Park av. was buried today in Evergreen Cemetery. The funeral was held at the residence and the services were conducted by Rev J N Whitehead.

The deceased was 95 years of age. She was born in Staffordshire, Eng. April 4, 1810 and was married to Joseph Woodall in 1835. While in London she and her husband rode in the first steam railway and in 1837 witnessed the coronation of Queen Victoria. Four children, 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren survive her.
