Miss Anna N Ryan, Fifth st. Newport, Ky. employed by the Standard
Paint Co. 1032 Union Trust Building, is the winner of the $25 prize in the
stenographer's contest given by L C Smith & Co typewriting at the Fall Festival.
Each contestant was given 3000 words and allowed 30 minutes to copy as much as possible. The one writing the most words with the fewest mistakes was to be winner. Miss Ryan wrote 930 words and made but seven errors.
Miss Elise Anderson, stenographer for the L&N RR wrote the greatest number of words, 1551, but she made 57 mistakes.
