The Steamer Steel City struck a rock near Vanceburg Ky. and sank after its passengers and crew, numbering 125 person, were taken ashore in lifeboats. There was no one injured. Passengers include: Cincinnati, Miss Anna W Hagemann; Bellevue: Miss Mabel Willis; Newport: Miss Lida Naber.

Dr. James Alexander Duckworth, 63, died Wednesday at his residence, Manor lane, Ft Thomas.  Besides his widow (formerly Miss Sophie Hagemann) he leaves a son, Cecil, who is in the aviation corps of the British Army and a daughter, Helen Duckworth. Dr. Anna Hageman, Union Trust building Cincinnati, was a sister in law.
