Andreas and Sophia Ebert

Andreas Ebert was born 2 Sep 1815 in Baunach, Bavaria Germany, the son of
Andreas Ebert and Anna Maria Borshel. He immigrated to the United States
in 1835 and made his naturalization in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa. He
went back to Johnstown Pennsylvania to marry Sophia Wilhelm, daughter of
Ignatius Fay Wilhelm and Marie Anna Dietrich, in 1841. Sophia was born 22 Jan
1824 in Alsace Lorraine France. Andreas and Sophia moved to Lawrenceburg
where he opened a brewery. He died in Lawrenceburg 31 Aug 1859 and was
buried in the Greendale Cemetery in Lawrenceburg. Sophia married Charles
Memminger in 1860. After Charles died, Sophia moved her family to
Burlington, Iowa where she died 12 Feb 1916 and was buried in the Sacred Heart
Cemetery in Burlington.
