VILLAGE BLACKSMITH CALLED BY DEATH

Amos Jennings, one of Campbell-co's oldest residents and widely known as the village blacksmith of California, in the upper end of the county, died yesterday at the County Infirmary from an illness incident to old age.

The decedent was of an eccentric disposition and up until a year ago, when sickness overtook him, he lived the life of a hermit for nearly a half century in the village of California. He was 78 years old. He had no living relatives.
