Services for 93 year old Mrs. Amelia Rickerson, 202 E Sixth street, Newport, will be held at the William C Betz Sons funeral home, Newport at 2 pm Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 pm Sunday.
Mrs. Rickerson died Friday at her home following a brief illness. A native of Germany she had lived in Newport more than 65 years. Widow of Thomas Rickerson, a Civil War Veteran and member of the Grand Army of the Republic. She was a member of the GAR Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves one daughter; Mrs. Nellie V Huggins, Newport; four sons, George, Covington; Edward and Harry, Newport and William, Cold Spring; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
