SGT. Alvin Dolan, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dolan, 30 E
Crescent avenue, Newport, was wounded at Saipan, the War Department notified his
family Monday. A member of the communications branch of the Air Corps, he has
been in the service two years. Sgt. Dolan is a graduate of Newport High School
and was employed by Lodge & Shipley Machine Tool Co. Cincinnati, prior to
entering the service.
