Mr. and Mrs. Amerin have announced the engagement of their daughter, Clara to Hubert J Fox, who is employed by the O'Dell Grain Co. Cincinnati. The wedding will take place Sept. 25 at the Corpus Christi Church, Newport at 8 am.

Dr. George W Brown reported the following deaths in Newport in the past week; Aloysius Amerin, 42, pneumonia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Amerin, 80, widow, 825 Isabella st. Newport, will be held Monday from the home with requiem high mass at 9 am at Corpus Christi Church, Newport. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery, Johns Hill.  Mrs. Amerin died Thursday at her home following an illness of seven months. She was widely known in Newport, where she had lived all her life. She was born in County Galway, Ireland, but came to Newport when a small girl. she was the widow of the late Aloysius Amerin, Civil War veteran, who died 20 years ago.

Mrs. Amerin is survived by two sons, John and George, both former Newport patrolmen, two daughters, Mrs. F J Leonard, Chicago, and Mrs. Clara Fox, who lived with her mother and three grandchildren, Dorothy Fox, connected with the advertising department of the Cincinnati Post, and Virginia and Hubert Fox.
