The Alexandria State Bank of Deposit Building is rapidly nearing completion and in a short time the new venture will be ready to begin business. The officers of the new bank will be; N G Zinn, President; Andrew Thurner, Vice President; Directors, Andrew Thurner, N G Zinn, Frank Thatcher, J F Wright, W W White, Joseph Herringer, T N Byrd, George Warner, W P S Blackburn and Mike Kinstler.

William Nicholson, contractor for the new bank at Alexandria, put a force of bricklayers at work on the building the first of the week. The building is to be completed by the middle of April.

The new bank at Alexandria will be opened April 6 and invitations have been sent to prominent farmers to attend. Dr. Zinn is President and Timothy Daly, formerly cashier of the Williamstown Bank, will hold the same position in the new bank.
The Board of Directors consist of Andrew Thurner, Joseph Wright, William White Jr. George Warner, Michael Kinstler, T W Byrd, William Blackburn, Frank Thatcher and Joseph Herringer.

country were present in large numbers. Cashier Timothy Daley and assistant, W B
Blackburn, were kept busy receiving money from depositors all day, and at the
close of banking hours over $25,000 had been placed in the vaults.

The labor troubles of the Cincinnati Gas Transportation Co, which is ingaged in laying natural gas mains in the vicinity of Alexandria Campbell co. are still on. W P Corcoran of Pittsburg, which has the contract was present at Alexandria and ordered all the strikers paid off. Cashier Daley of the Bank of Alexandria, stated no effort was made by the strikers to make an attack on the bank, and they had only gathered outside to await payment of the checks promised them.

A change has been made in the management and control of the Alexandria Bank. When Grant co. interests learned a new bank was to be organized they decided to sell their stock to the promoters. The offer was accepted and the new bank will not be organized. Tim Daly, the Cashier, has tendered his resignation to take effect April 1 and Andrew Thurner was chosen. Thurner Jr. was elected Assistant Cashier.

Details of the $50,000 bank robbery that occurred early Monday in Alexandria will be found on page 1, section 2. The main facts in connection with the robbery are these:
Several yeggs? in an automobile broke into the Bank of Alexandria between 1 and 2 pm Monday. They were seen by John McAtee, who lives nearby, but who thought they were autoists who had stopped to get out of the rain. They blew the safety deposit vaults, taking approximately $50,000 worth of valuables and securities belonging to Campbell co. farmers. Efforts to blow open the safe failed. They cut all telephone wires leading to Alexandria, completely isolating the town. A sheriff's posse is seeking them.
