Albert
Biery
Kentucky Post, Wednesday, 7 October 1914, page 2
"Your honor, my husband hasn't worked over three months in the 17 years we have been married and I have been force to work for a living for our four children." This was a statement made to Judge Buten Wednesday morning by Mrs. Albert Biery when she testified against her husband, Albert Biery, who was arraigned on a charge of drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
According to the wife, her husband worked three nights last week and gave her $1 out of what he made. She claimed he hit her on the head with a bucket when she remonstrated against his drinking and this led to his arrest. Judge Buten ordered the police to give the wife $5 out of the money taken from Biery and gave Biery a fine of $10 and costs.
