NEWPORT


MORE WOUNDED SOLDIERS-Several wounded soldiers arrived here yesterday.  Among the number is Albert Werner, of the First Kentucky Regiment, who is wounded in the head.  He is at the house of Mr. Joseph A Ney, on York street.

NEWPORT NEWS

DEAD-Albert Werner, of the First Kentucky Regiment, who was wounded  in the head at the battle of Shiloh, died from the effects of his injuries on Tuesday evening, at the residence of Mr. Joseph Nay, on York street.

NEWPORT NEWS

The remains of Albert Werner were taken to Cincinnati where they will be interred in Spring Grove Cemetery.
