Albert Volz, 76, a prominent Mason, of 622 Fourth avenue, Dayton,
died Thursday at Columbus O. Mr. Volz was en route to Cleveland O. to attend a
national convention of the United Spanish American War Veterans.
A native of Dayton, he was a member of the Spanish War Veterans of the Henry Barnes Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons; Indra Consistory, Scottish Rite, Covington; the Syrian Shrine, Cincinnati and of the Jr. OUAM Bellevue. He was a 33d degree Mason.
He leaves a daughter, Miss Gertrude Volz at home and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Michaels, Hollywood. Services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Dobbling Funeral home, Bellevue. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery, Cincinnati.

Albert William Volz, 76, of Dayton Ky. died here last Thursday morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Estella Reemer, Vine St. A retired newspaper man and a Philippine veteran of the Spanish American War, he and his daughter, Miss Gertrude Volz, arrived for a visit, two weeks ago. He planned to go on to the Spanish American War Veterans Convention which opened Sunday in Cleveland. His heart failed during an attack of asthma.
Before retirement he worked on the Cincinnati Post and prior to that on the Times-Star and The Enquirer. He was a 50 year Mason. Mrs. Reemer and Miss Volz went to to Dayton Saturday. The funeral was Monday.
