Robert Gruenholz, Albert Tuerpe, William Phelps and Leonard Gaffey, all of Newport, who are to leave Sunday with Newport's second selective army increment for Camp Taylor, Louisville, each was presented with a wrist watch by friends Tuesday. Blain McLaughlin, county attorney, made the presentation speech. The young men were guests at a dinner Tuesday night.

Services for Albert C Tuerpe, 1039 Grand avenue, Newport, who died early at his home, will be held 2:30 pm Saturday at the Erschell funeral home, Newport, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Emma Tuerpe, three sons, Corporal Harold Tuerpe, US Army, stationed in Missouri, Earl and Roy, Newport, and a daughter, Eleanor Tuerpe, Newport. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
