Albert Laker, a World War veteran and formerly a salesman, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital, Dayton O. He was 48 and lived at 1119 Ann street, Newport. Funeral services are to be held by the Newport American Legion at 7:30 pm Friday at the Ann street home. Other services are to be held at 8:30 am Saturday at Corpus Christi Church, Newport. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.
Mr. Laker leaves his widow, Marie Laker; six sons, three daughters, one brother and a sister, Sister Mary of St Judd, who is stationed at the Good Shepherd Home, Campbell county. Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll is in charge.
